Panini debuts Rookies and Stars Basketball
November 19, 2009

After the successful launch of Panini America's debut NBA product, Panini Prestige, the hobby's buzz is now focusing on Panini's second basketball offering, Rookies & Stars Basketball.

For years, the Rookies & Stars brand has been recognized by hobbyists as having one of the most comprehensive and up-to-date Rookie Card checklists in the industry. This year, Panini is extending Rookies and Stars reputation into the basketball card market by creatively combining desirable Rookie Cards with autographs and memorabilia secured at the 2009 NBA Rookie Photo Shoot.

With emerging rookies Brandon Jennings (Milwaukee Bucks), Johnny Flynn (Minnesota Timberwolves), Tyreke Evans (Sacramento Kings) and Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors) burning up the hardwood, their embroidered team logo Rookie Card patches are sure to be a Hot List staple soon. Legendary players like Bob Cousy, Bill Laimbeer, Moses Malone and Willis Reed are also immortalized within the autographed embroidered patch set.

Every box of 2009-10 Rookies & Stars basketball, $4 per pack SRP, will include FOUR hits - two autograph cards and two memorabilia cards, on average.

2009 Rookies & Stars basketball is scheduled to land in hobby stores and retail outlets nationwide the week of November 14.
