LEGENDARY CONTENDERS

JAY CUTLER, QB - Denver Broncos (447 Passing Yards, 3 Touchdowns, 107.9 Passer Rating)
Card to Grab - 2006 Playoff Contenders #152 AU/501

With Denver trailing 23-13 to Cleveland in the fourth quarter, the momentum swung in their favor when Jay Cutler hit rookie Eddie Royal for a 93-yard touchdown. Cutler blew up the Browns for a career-high 447 passing yards and, in Elway-esc fashion, completed all three of his touchdown passes in the fourth quarter, helping Denver to a come-from-behind 34-30 win over the Browns.

THOMAS JONES, RB - New York Jets (149 Rushing Yards, 3 Touchdowns)
Card to Grab - 2000 Leaf Limited #410 Game-Used FB/500

With quarterback Brett Favre capturing all the headlines in the Big Apple, the Jets are sitting at 6-3, tied for first in the AFC East. The former Virginia running back has been a big part of the Jets offense. As he slowly creeps up on 1,000 yards rushing for the season, Jones picked up 149 of those on 26 carries against St. Louis, scoring three touchdowns in the 47-3 route of the Rams.

ROOKIE ROLL CALL

- Denver rookie receiver, Eddie Royal, led all receivers in yards this week. The former Hokie caught six passes for 164 yards - including one in the fourth quarter for a 93 yard touchdown in the Broncos come-from-behind win over the Browns.

- Quarterback Matt Ryan helped Atlanta improve their record to 6-3 after beating up on the Saints. Ryan finished the day with 248 passing yards and two touchdowns (a 134 quarterback rating).

- Solid week running the ball for these rookies: New England Patriots BenJarvus Green-Ellis (105 yards, 1 touchdown), Detroit Lions Kevin Smith (96 yards, 1 touchdown), Chicago Bears Matt Forte (72 yards) and Denver Broncos Ryan Torain (68 yards, 1 touchdown).

- Solid week receiving for these rookies: New York Jets Dustin Keller (6 catches, 107 yards, 1 touchdown), Chicago Bears Matt Forte (7 catches, 54 yards, 1 touchdown), Seattle Seahawks John Carlson (5 catches, 54 yards) and San Francisco 49ers Josh Morgan (4 catches, 54 yards, 1 touchdown).

ONES TO WATCH

BRADY QUINN, QB - Cleveland Browns (239 Passing Yards, 2 Touchdowns, 104.3 Passer Rating)
Card to Grab - 2007 Playoff Contenders #115 AU/534

We all remember Brady sitting uncomfortably in the green room on draft day waiting for the commissioner to call his name and after 21 picks, he finally heard it. The Cleveland Browns picked the former Notre Dame signal caller to be their future and the Cleveland Dog Pound has patiently been waiting to see their golden boy in action (no thanks to the great play of Derek Anderson). They finally got to see Quinn make his first NFL start Thursday night against the Denver Broncos, and the youngster flashed signs of greatness, controlling the ball with no interceptions, while passing for two touchdowns.
