Nice Shot: Panini America Goes Behind the Scenes at 2016 NBA Rookie Photo Shoot

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. — Brandon Ingram, the No. 2 overall pick of the Los Angeles Lakers, effortlessly nailing a no-look, back-to-the-basket, over-his-head heave from just inside the three-point arc. Marquese Chriss of the Phoenix Suns, as requested, firing a series of perfect passes into the face of a smartphone-wielding cameraman. Buddy Hield of the New Orleans Pelicans drilling seemingly every shot he takes whether the cameras are rolling or not.

To be sure, the scenes were as entertaining and as memorable as they were seemingly endless during last Sunday’s 2016 Panini NBA Rookie Photo Shoot as 39 of the brightest young stars in the game transformed two courts inside the New York Knicks’ practice facility into their personal playground for the purposes of creating their first physical and digital NBA trading cards.
