Donruss Back In Baseball...And Back On The Hotlist

The return of Elite Extra Edition to the hobby landscape has also brought the return of Donruss to the Beckett Baseball "Hot List" - a barometer of the hottest cards in the industry.

Elite Extra Edition, the first new baseball-themed product released by Donruss in two years, has exploded onto the Hot List with five '07 EEE cards making their Hot List debuts in the March 2008 issue of the magazine - including the No. 1 card on the market, the autographed Mike Moustakas AU/999 card.

Other Donruss EEE cards on the list include Austin Jackson AU/794 at No. 4, Jason Hayward AU/750 at No. 6, Matt Wieters AU/799 at No. 11 and Josh Vitters AU/769 at No. 15.

"Collectors obviously embraced Donruss' return to baseball in a big way, and that was reflected by 2007 Elite Extra Edition claiming three of the top six spots - and five of the top 20," says Brian Fleischer, Beckett Baseball Price Guide Editor. "Perhaps even more impressive was the fact that the product landed the No. 1 spot with the Mike Moustakas autograph."

Donruss was the only major manufacturer among the big three to produce '07 autographed cards of Moustakas and Jackson, with secondary market sales exceeding $60 per card for each.
