Score's debut in 1989 was a landmark release when it came to rookie cards. Many collectors stashed away factory sets in anticipation that names like Barry Sanders, Troy Aikman, Cris Carter and Deion Sanders would put up Hall of Fame numbers on the field. We all know the happy ending to that story and how well the return of the Score Factory set was received with the class of '06.
Donruss will once again be releasing a factory set for this year's Score football. Each set will contain all 330 common cards, along with 110 total Rookie Cards. Score originally had 55 rookie cards at retail, with 45 additional Rookie Cards available only in the hobby version. The factory set will combine all of these Rookie Cards into one release, adding an additional 10 Rookie Cards that will be exclusive to the factory set only.
Player photographs will be updated to showcase their new teams, while some of the Rookie Cards will have updated photos, too.
The 2007 Score Factory set has shipped and should be showing up on store shelves any day, with a SRP of $39.99 per 440 card set.
