With the 28th annual National Sports Collector Convention set to kick-off tonight with an industry sneak peak, officials at Donruss have put together an outline of all the events that will be taking place at their corporate booth. It will be a busy week, highlighted by the following:
Collectors bringing five un-opened packs of any 2007 hobby product or one box of Score retail will get a two card Donruss Elite rookie pack. Twenty different rookies will be randomly inserted in these packs, with parallels and autographs. The cards will be updated with photographs taken from this year's Rookie Photo Shoot.
Donruss will be producing a limited edition seven-card promotional set for VIP Club members. Those that sign up for the VIP package will receive six of the cards and an info card sending them to the Donruss booth for a seventh card, Browns quarterback Brady Quinn.
Donruss will also be holding their popular Box Wars. Four of the company's products will be live at the time of the National, (Playoff Prestige, Donruss Elite, Donruss Classics, Score (Retail)/Select). Prizes will be awarded to winners, including autographed items signed by this year's exciting rookie class.
Donruss will also have their popular Prize Wheel on hand. Debuting at this year's Super Bowl, the Wheel makes its way to Cleveland and gives those taking a free spin the chance to win one of twelve different promotional Score Select cards. Highlighted with the National logo, players in the set include Vince Young, Reggie Bush, Brett Favre, Adrian Peterson, JaMarcus Russell and Brady Quinn.
Donruss has teamed up with Pepsi to produce a limited edition trading card set for the National Sports Collectors Convention. Those bringing a special Pepsi coupon to the National will receive the set absolutely FREE, courtesy of Donruss and Pepsi. Pepsi will be producing a special poster featuring the coupons. The posters will be displayed in grocery stories throughout the state of Ohio.
Donruss will also be handing out many other goodies and a special announcement is scheduled to take place Friday afternoon. For more information about the 28th National and the Donruss Pepsi promotion, visit www.NSCCShow.com.
