With the National Sports Collectors Convention less than a month away, officials at Donruss Playoff announced their plans for a limited, seven-card VIP promotional set. The set, available only to VIP Club members, will feature some of the hottest rookies from this year's exciting draft class. Six cards will be packaged together in each of the VIP gift bags. A special info card will also be included, sending VIP's to the Donruss corporate booth to get a seventh card.
The set features seven of the top rookies from this year's draft class. Number one pick, Oakland Raiders quarterback JaMarcus Russell will be joined by Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson, Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson, Miami Dolphins wide receive Ted Ginn, Cleveland Browns lineman Joe Thomas and Baltimore Ravens quarterback and former OSU Heisman winner Troy Smith. With the National being in Cleveland, Browns quarterback Brady Quinn, will be the seventh and final card to complete the set and will only be available at the Donruss booth to VIP members.
Those who purchase a VIP Club membership will receive a gift package including this incredible set. The 28th annual National Sports Collector Convention will be held at the International Exposition Center (I-X Center) from August 1-5.
