The annual NFL league meetings are take place this week in Phoenix and one announcement has fans saying thanks for the memories. Marshall Faulk is calling it quits after 13 seasons in the NFL playing for the Indianapolis Colts and St. Louis Rams. He had to sit out in '06 due to a knee injury, but he used that time to successfully make the transition to the studio, being an analyst on the NFL Network.
Faulk was the league MVP in 2000, setting a NFL record (since been broken) with 26 touchdowns. He was also named NFL Offensive Player of the Year from 1999-2001. He finishes his career ranked ninth on the career rushing list with 12,279 yards. His 100 rushing touchdowns ranks him sixth all-time.
Marshall was a seven-time Pro Bowl selection and was the first player in NFL history to gain 2,000 rushing and receiving yards combined, doing it four times in a row from 1998-2001. Marshall was instrumental in the Ram's "Greatest Show on Turf" victory over the Tennessee Titans in Super Bowl XXXIV.
