Lucky Collector Hits the Jackpot, Twice...

Talk about a hot pack…

A beginning collector in North Carolina recently opened a pack of Leaf Limited Prime and pulled back-to-back six-way autograph cards.

The packs of Leaf Limited retail for $75 each.

The cards, numbered 6/25 and 9/25, feature autographs of Matt Leinart, Reggie Bush and LenDale White on one side. On the reverse are autographs of Texas standouts Vince Young, Michael Huff, and David Thomas. That's two Heisman Trophy winners and three National Championships represented. All six players participated in the 2006 Rose Bowl, one of the greatest college football games of all time.

"Jackpot," said Scott Prusha, director of marketing for Donruss/Leaf. "The odds of that happening are like winning the lottery twice. The cards must have stuck together during the collation process. It happens, but very rarely. Those are nice cards."

Collector Dillon Huskins opened the pack in Greg's Cards in Spruce Pine, N.C.

"That was a good case of cards," says Greg Davis, the store owner. "A Peyton Manning autograph card came out of it. I got a helmet card of Red Grange, and another guy pulled a six-way autograph with all Raiders on it."

Davis said that Huskins had just started collecting when he made the pull. Davis gave the man $700 in trade for one of the cards.
